As 2024 draws to a close, we are proud to reflect on an incredible year filled with achievements, growth, and celebrations.

This year, we’ve achieved new milestones, expanded our teams, and remained dedicated to delivering the highest standards of early years education to our families. Here are a few of our highlights from 2024:

Growing our community through exciting acquisitions

2024 has also been a year of growth, as we welcomed new nurseries into the SM���� family:

• Children 1st Day Nurseries Group

• Bright Stars in Sutton-in-Ashfield

• Sunshine Nursery School in Sudbury

• The Ark Nurseries in Stamford

These acquisitions mark an exciting chapter in our journey, expanding our reach and enabling us to bring SM����’s high quality care and education to even more families.

Welcoming new faces

This year, we welcomed 578 new team members across our nurseries and support team. Each individual plays a crucial role in our success, and we are grateful for the talent they bring to our nurseries every day.

Winning Nursery World Preschool of the Year

We were delighted to see Woodville Preschool recognised as Preschool of the Year at the Nursery World Awards. This incredible achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of the Woodville team, made even more special being earned in their first year of opening.

Supporting our teams with our first Deputy Leadership Conference

We hosted our very first Deputy Leadership Conference, a two-day conference designed to empower our leaders and strengthen support for our teams. Bringing together Deputy Managers from across our nurseries, the conference provided a platform for learning and collaboration.

Winning NMT Nursery Group of the Year (Medium) for the second consecutive year

We were thrilled to be named NMT Nursery Group of the Year (Medium) for the second year in a row. We couldn’t be prouder of the commitment, hard work, and passion of our teams across our nurseries.

Our first SM���� Awards Party

This year, we hosted our first SM���� Awards Party, a special evening dedicated to celebrating the achievements of our team members. The event brought together our teams from across the country to reward excellence in a variety of categories, ending the night with our best moves on the dance floor!
