Today marked the annual announcement of the NMT Nursery Awards finalists and we are thrilled to be shortlisted in five categories, including the medium-sized Nursery Group of the Year.
Tammieâs dedication to special educational needs at Hermitage Nursery School has not gone unnoticed. She goes above and beyond her role within the nursery, sharing information, new ideas, and good practice across other nurseries within our group. Tammie works closely with other professionals and supports our team to provide the best possible outcomes for each child. This nomination highlights her exceptional efforts in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all children.
We recognise the importance of collaborating with parents in their childâs educational journey. The team at Willow Tree Nursery School are passionate about fostering these meaningful relationships with families, particularly through inviting parents into the nursery for special events such as cooking club sessions, story time, maypole dancing, a Remembrance Day service, and sports day. They also demonstrate effective communication with parents through 2 Year checks and parentsâ evening.
Kerryanne Davis's infectious personality and passion for early years education have earned her the nomination for "Nursery Personality of the Year." Kerryanne is dedicated to ensuring children feel happy and settled when they join the nursery and continues to nurture these relationships through her attentive and compassionate nature. The team can always rely on Kerryanne to bring a sense of fun and energy, and her personality shines through in everything that she does. Her enthusiasm and dedication to creating a joyful learning atmosphere have left a lasting mark on the children at Hemsley House Nursery School.
Farley Sparsholt offers a truly inspiring outdoor educational environment, and we are thrilled to be recognised in this category. At Farley Sparsholt, learning spaces are cleverly designed to integrate with the natural surroundings, utilising available resources and creating dynamic environments for children to discover. Embracing outdoor time allows exploration of seasonal changes and encourages activities like climbing frame construction and sensory engagement with herbs and plants. Children spend most of their day outside exploring, using nature to enrich their imagination.
We are thrilled to be selected as a finalist for the Nursery Group of the Year award. This recognition is a testament to the dedication and passion of our wonderful team, and their commitment to creating exceptional learning environments so that every childâs story can unfold.
We couldnât be prouder of all of our finalists and look forward to attending the Awards Ceremony in November.
