Nursery Manager
Zareena Rashid

Hi, my name is Zareena, and I am proud to be the Nursery Manager at Edgbaston.

With 23 years of experience working with children and families, I have spent the past 13 years as part of the incredible Edgbaston team. It is truly an honor to work alongside such dedicated and passionate Early Years Educators, creating a nurturing and inspiring environment for our children.

At Edgbaston, we encourage curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning in a rich and engaging environment. Our experienced team understands that every child is unique, with their own story to tell. That’s why we tailor learning experiences to suit each child’s pace and individual needs, fostering confidence and independence along the way. What makes our nursery truly special is that we are a Hygge-accredited setting. Hygge, a Danish approach to life, emphasises warmth, togetherness, and well-being. This means your child will enjoy a cosy, home-from-home atmosphere where they feel safe, happy, and inspired to explore the world around them.

We would love for you to experience the warmth and joy of our nursery first-hand—so please do come along and say hello!

Making a difference

Our Community

At Edgbaston, we’re passionate about supporting the wellbeing of children and families, both in our nursery and beyond. That’s why we’re proud to be supporting Edward’s Trust, a charity that provides vital bereavement support to children, young people, and families across the West Midlands. Their work brings comfort, hope, and healing at incredibly difficult times, and we’re honoured to help raise awareness and funds for such an important cause.

Throughout the year, we’ll be getting together for lots of fundraising activities, from bake sales and dress-up days, to sponsored challenges. Together we can make a difference to such an important cause and inspire our children to grow with kindness and generosity. We can’t wait to see what we can achieve as a community! Keep an eye out for updates on our events and how you can get involved in supporting Edward’s Trust.
